This man of courage has been through many struggles as he travelled from country to country due to wars in Africa.
He was involved with facilitating two initiatives with Tearfund (Umoja Initiative and Family Life Restoration), and in addition to this, he translated the book “THE WORLD NEEDS A FATHER” from English into Swahili and Kinyarwanda. Since 2015, Ps. Haguma has been actively involved in DURBAN DIALOGUE, a platform for dialogue and collaboration among churches, NGOs, and civil society. He works at Zoe-Life, a capacity building and development organisation, as a senior Social Cohesion Coordinator on a UN Refugee Agency/FORGE/Zoe-Life Social Cohesion Project in KZN.
Ps. Haguma is the visionary of CHRISTIAN FAMILY FELLOWSHIP, a global Christian network in more than 35 countries that aims to build healthy churches in healthy communities. Haguma is the founder of UPSKILL AFRICA INITIATIVE an environment of vocational training that focus on bringing together African Children through skills transfer. Haguma believes that people on the grassroots level must take the lead in social transformation and he always says that CHURCHES ARE NOT CALLED TO COMPETE AGAINST EACH OTHER BUT TO COMPLETE EACH OTHER.
Ps. Haguma is a multi-talented man with different qualifications, including:
1. Diploma in Latin and Philosophy
2. Diploma in African languages
3. Hi-Certificate in Health Care Management
4.Post-Graduate Diploma in Management
5. Different qualifications in Facilitation, Peacebuilding, Conflicts management and diplomacy
He is currently writing two books:
1. CUD (Churches Unity Dialogue)
2. The History of Rwanda in The Eyes of a Saint.
He is also studying Leadership Theology School of Leadership Haguma is a father of 4 children (Divine, Joshua, Esther and Deborah) and husband to Liliane Haguma, a senior midwife at Addington Hospital. Haguma is currently serving God and people as an elder at 3C church in Chesterville and Westville.
